Privacy policy

Abtech Tourism Limited (“Abtech”, “we”, “us”) is a travel agency with offices in Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We only collect what we need to plan and book your trip:

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
• Trip details — destinations, dates, number of travellers (adults, children and infants) and preferences you share with us.
• Traveller details needed by airlines, hotels and embassies — for example names as they appear on passports, dates of birth and passport numbers.
• Visa documents you choose to send us, such as bank statements, employment letters and travel history.
• Basic technical data when you visit the website, such as your browser type and the pages you view.

We never see or store your card details. Card payments are processed by our payment providers, Paystack and Flutterwave, on their own secure pages. We receive only a confirmation that a payment was made, its amount and a reference.

When you use a form on this website, the details you enter are placed into a WhatsApp message that opens on your own device. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. Messages you send us are then handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, as well as by us under this one.

• To answer your enquiry and send you quotes.
• To make bookings with airlines, hotels, tour operators and other suppliers.
• To prepare and submit visa applications you have asked us to handle.
• To send booking confirmations, updates and changes to your travel plans.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To send you travel offers — only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

We share your data only with those who need it to deliver your trip: airlines, hotels, booking platforms, tour and transport operators, insurers, embassies and visa application centres, and our payment provider. Some of these are outside Nigeria, because that is where you are travelling. We do not sell your data.

If you sign up for deals by email, your email address is held by our email provider, Resend, which sends the deals emails for us. Every deals email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.

We keep booking and payment records for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting law requires. Visa documents are kept only for as long as the application and any follow-up need them, and are then deleted. Enquiries that do not become a booking are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;
• withdraw consent you have given, such as for marketing messages;
• complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

This website does not use advertising cookies. To understand which pages and offers are useful, we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you. Your browser also remembers a few things on your own device — an affiliate code you arrived with (for 30 days) and which offers you have already seen — and these are never sent to us except as part of a message you choose to send.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
